Frankford Delaware is a small town of less than 1000 in Sussex County, part of the Saulsberry, Maryland/Delaware metropolitan area. Originally founded in 1808, Frankford wasn’t incorporated into the 1937 and was originally named Frankford Village in 1948 when the town got its first post office. Today, the town is just a glimpse of what used to be filled with historical homes and handful thriving businesses. Several homes have been added to the National Register of Historic Places.
Located just off of Dupont Blvd., Frankford has a few businesses such as road supply, forming stores, car sales and the Frankford family diner. At any given time there’s a handful of commercial businesses or properties for sale. Occasionally there will be an investment property ideal for rental income is primarily small businesses, buildings, or complexes for sale.
